Rita Moreno Rewears Oscars Gown From 1962
Back in 1962, Rita Moreno won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress wearing an elegant black and gold boatneck gown. On Sunday night, almost six decades later, the Hollywood icon attended the 2018 Oscars wearing the same exact gown.
Before the red carpet, Moreno's daughter revealed her mom would be re-wearing her 1962 dress to tonight's award show.

When she first wore the glamorous gown, Moreno won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in West Side Story - marking the actress's first Oscar win.
Fifty-six years later, the actress hit the red carpet at tonight's 90th Annual Academy Awards wearing the same look. Making a slight change to the silhouette, Moreno turned the high, boat neckline cut of the dress into a strapless neckline. She even wore the same black satin opera length gloves.
"It’s been hanging in my closet!" Moreno told Ryan Seacrest on E!'s red carpet.
The actress did make some minor updates to the '60s throwback look by adding a turban-style headband, statement-making collar necklace, and oversized jewel earrings.
Proving the timelessness of an elegant gown, Moreno looked just as stunning tonight as she did back in 1962. Bow down.
