Ring camera footage captures Amazon driver dealing with ‘scary’ mid-delivery issue: ‘He deserves a raise’

An Amazon delivery driver is being praised for going above and beyond his job description.

A TikTok user named Gwen (@gwenniesanchez) captured the moment on her doorbell security camera. It’s just the latest video of its kind to go viral on the app.

In the past, users have shared their experiences with delivery drivers paying for their lunch, opening “care packages” on their doorsteps and completing an order after a car crash.

Gwen’s encounter, meanwhile, veered firmly on the heartwarming side of things. As she explained in her video, she humorously asked her delivery driver to kill a spider that was “refusing” to leave her front door.

According to Gwen’s doorbell camera, her Amazon driver took that request to heart. The clip shows the employee arriving at her doorstep and dropping off the package before searching the walls for a spider. When he finds it, he takes off his shoe and kills it.

TikTok users praised the worker for going above and beyond his job. Some called him a “hero.”

“Spider assassin? Amazon really does everything,” one user joked.

“HE TOOK OFF HIS SHOE. A real one,” another added.

“He deserves a raise,” another wrote.

The incident — which many saw as equal parts lighthearted and heartwarming — is similar to another viral video from 2020. In that clip, a delivery driver humorously recounted his attempts to remove a snake from his customer’s doorstep.

Gwen, for her part, has since been trying to find and thank the driver who killed her spider. She even shared a follow-up video of her attempt to catch him delivering another package. Unfortunately, it looked like a different driver showed up.
