Rihanna's 'Savage X Fenty Vol 4' Is an Enchanted Experience

We didn’t even know for sure if we were getting a Savage Fenty show this year seeing as Rihanna just gave birth in May. Savage shows are typically released in September, so when the month went by with no announcements of a show, we figured the bad gyal was taking a much deserved year off. Well, we were wrong. As usual, Rihanna delivered for her fashion lovers with a well-worth-the-wait Savage X Fenty Vol. 4, and we feel confident in saying that it’s most certainly her best one yet.

A fashion experience of the highest order and quality complete with stunning visuals, impeccable fashion, and great music. We got the opportunity to check out the show a few days early, and we’ve put together a list of things to look forward to when the show becomes available on Amazon Prime this Wednesday.

Volume 4 takes place in an enchanted forest full of savages. The imagery is gorgeous and complements the bold and vibrant colors that are typically associated with Savage Fenty pieces, which leads us to the next part of our review… the fashion. There was also an epic animation that told a story alongside the show, which added to the visual component in a unique way.

One of the coolest things about these Savage shows is that it gives you new inspiration on how to wear Savage pieces. In Volume 4, we saw all of the standard best sellers such as the various different styles of lingerie, along with the corsets, boxers, and silk loungewear for both the guys and the girls, but there were definitely news inspos on how to pair the pieces together.

If we had to pick one word to describe the theme of Volume 4, it would definitely be intergalactic. The fashion showcased was something along the lines of Star Trek meets Savage Fenty, which fell in line with the enchanted forest setting.

The Performances

Once again the performances and music were spot on, with Rihanna paying tribute to both the current and the classic. Anitta, Burna Boy, Don Tolliver, and Maxwell are the selected performers for this edition, and all four delivered excellent performances. As far as the rest of the music, like previous Savage shows there were current hits, and multiple blast from the past throwbacks from Janet Jackson, Nas, Missy Elliott, and more.
