Is Rihanna's new Stunna Lip Paint one of the best red lipsticks of all time? Our lips say so!

Yahoo Lifestyle would like to introduce you to The New-New, a column by Beauty Director Dana Oliver on the latest products, tools, and treatments on which she’d happily spend her hard-earned money. In this special edition, Dana tasks her colleagues with testing out the new Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint.

Fenty Beauty‘s groundbreaking success can be attributed to Rihanna’s mission to create beauty products that look good on literally everyone. She accomplished just that with her impressive foundation range of 40 shades, and now the singer turned beauty mogul has perfected the most universally flattering red lipstick. That Rihanna reign just won’t let up!

True to its name, Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored is a liquid lipstick that dries down to a true-red matte finish. The slightly rounded doe-foot applicator makes it supereasy to outline lips (a shout-out to Rihanna’s immaculate Cupid’s bow) and then fill in without screwing up. But the practically bulletproof way it wears is what makes this red lippie a winner in my beauty book!

Here, three Yahoo editors with three different skin tones — light, medium, and dark — gave the new Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint a try. Keep reading for their first impressions:

The color of Rihanna’s Stunna Lip Paint immediately struck me when I saw it in the bottle, but it was even more impressive to see how it transformed on each person who tried it. For me, it’s a true brick red that’s perfect for the holidays, and I can already tell it’s long lasting and will be able to survive any of the season’s festivities. The fluidity of it worried me a bit, as I thought it would apply messily. But it ended up being much easier to work with than I expected, and I’m superhappy with how it dried and mattified on the lips.

When I started to apply the Fenty Beauty Lip Paint, I was shocked by the pigmentation. I was able to cover both lips with one swipe of color! I like that the formula stays true to its name, as it feels like a paint; it’s not thick like a lipstick or sticky like a gloss. After wearing it for a while, I never felt like my lips were dry or tacky. I completely forgot I was wearing it.

What I like most about the Fenty Beauty Lip Paint is it went on so smoothly. I have deeply pigmented lips, so bright colors can sometimes look sheer, and I have to apply multiple coats. With the Fenty Beauty Lip Paint, the color is vibrant with just one swipe. More importantly, it lasted through lunch and my coffee break without me having to reapply it. Most liquid matte brands are drying and I have to constantly apply ChapStick on top of the lipstick. Not with Fenty Beauty my lips felt moisturized throughout the day.
