The 'Diamonds' singer hinted at issues late last year posting on Instagram she had an "overwhelming" year. She added, "To all my friends/family/coworkers who I have yet to get back to in the past months...please forgive me. This year has been quite an overwhelming one, and I'm working on that ish called Balance. brb."
Fans of the singer are freaking out over the news, but the overwhelming response on social media is hoping this is a sign her new album is coming!
"Rihanna and her man broke up. We got a new album on the way y’all," one person tweeted.

One funny response to the news said, Hassan, "probably got tired of waiting for the album too."
