Rihanna, Framed

So I went up to the In-N-Out Burger for a quick lunch, and there was Rihanna.  We run into each other in the screwiest places!

“Hey, Ree,” I quipped, because I quip.

“John! Or should I say Mr. Framed?” she teased.

“Hell, Ree, you can call me Al,” I requipped, referencing a Paul Simon song and knowing Ree knew that Paul Simon was just in Framed.

“I’ll call you Al when you use one of my songs in your prestigious web log,” she said.

Could she be blamed? I think not!

But little did she know!

“Rihanna…  babe, ” I said, “You’ll be surprised and delighted to learn that I’m working on next week’s blog.  And the featured video is ‘American Oxygen,’ your kick-ass new song with something like 14 million views on Vevo already. I do this because I love you.”

The beautiful songstress melted. “Me… in Framed?” She began to sob, quietly.

“Bleepin’ A,” I replied, hugging her. “You made it, babe.”

“You’re the best,” she said with a catch in her voice.

“No, doll,  you’re the best,” I replied. “And so is 'American Oxygen.’”
