Ricky Reyes has called it a career.

Reyes is best known for his time in Ring of Honor from 2002 to 2006, where he was a tag team champion alongside Rocky Romero. He also competed in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Lucha Underground, and various independent promotions throughout the world.

Ricky took to social media this week to announce his retirement from professional wrestling, tweeting out:

“Thank You Pro Wrestling *earth emoji* I will always be GRATEFUL for Everything and Everyone involved! #NJPW #LAdojo #ROH #LuchaUnderground #CMLL #VPW #WWC #TexasWrestling #BlackTiger,” Ricky Reyes said in a post.

Reyes also included a more detailed explanation for his retirement, which is posted below unedited:

I’ve decided to End my In-Ring Wrestling Career Effective Immediately! After 24 years of being a Professional Wrestling, My son is the Superstar of the Family Now! It’s become to difficult to spend time away from him as he gets older and is doing so many sports, I find myself just watching him and it’s the Most rewarding thing EVER. Thank you to all the Wrestling Promotions/PROMOTERS, The Wrestlers I’ve wrestled, Friends I’ve made and Most IMPORTANTLY the Wrestling FANS! They say ‘You get out of this, what you put into this.” I’ve given my entire life to Pro Wrestling and in Return I’m the LUCKIEST man in the World…
