Rick Ross and Meek Mill are revving up their engines to take over the fourth quarter of 2023. The MMG mates are slated to drop off their collaborative album, Too Good to Be True, very soon, and the pair heightened the anticipation on Wednesday (Nov. 8) by unveiling the official tracklist.
Across 17 tracks, the LP boasts features from Teyana Taylor, The-Dream, Future, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Fabolous, Jeremih, and more. Too Good To Be True will be released under Ross’ Maybach Music Group imprint and Larry Jackson’s Gamma media company.
So far, fans were treated with two previews with singles “Lyrical Eazy” and “Shaq & Kobe.” The latter received a boost when the legendary NBA veteran Shaquille O’Neal himself hopped on the song’s remix alongside Damian Lillard.
Too Good will mark both rappers’ first full-length releases since 2021. Meek’s last offering was Expensive Pain in October 2021, and Ross shared Richer Than I Ever Been soon after that in December 2021. It’s been a while since the two rappers went toe to toe on a track together, as their last time doing so before 2023 was for “Bogus Charms” from Ross’ Port Of Miami 2.
The duo recently stopped by Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio with Ebro Darden to touch base about how they’re feeling about their journeys. The host asked the Miami rapper about his business ventures, to which he confidently replied, “I done had my hands in 25 different pots. I’ve been cooking on the stove for a long time. Really, I was getting money the whole time. I’m real frugal at some points, but when it’s time to make a power play, I will.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, the two tell the story about their first time meeting, inspiring young hustlers, and more. Check out the full interview below.
