Niall James Horan, an Irish singer and song-writer, was born on September 1993 in Mullingar, Ireland. He became a prominent singer when he joined a boy-band called "One Direction," and though the group members have gone their separate ways, they are still making waves in the music industry. Horan lived with his parents till he was five years old when they got divorced, so he had to move away with his mother. This arrangement only lasted for a year, after which Horan and his brother, Greg, went to live with their father.
As a child, Horan was diagnosed with cancer, but his parents were able to help him manage this sickness till he got used to it. He had his primary education at St. Kenny's National School and continued to High School after he graduated. At age eleven, Horan would watch YouTube videos of people playing the guitar and soon, he knew how to do it. No one in his family knew about his singing talent until his aunt witnessed one of his singling episodes while they were driving one day. Shocked by what she was hearing, she mistook Horan's beautiful voice for the radio in the car.
During a fundraiser event, for a football team, which was held at the Mullingar Arts Center, Horan was asked to perform one of his amazing songs and he did it beautifully. After this, he landed a gig for a slot with a former "X Factor" contestant known ad Lloyd Daniels.
His dreams came through in 2010 at the age of sixteen, when he auditioned in Dublin for "X-Factor." After a lot of controversies between the judges, three judges out of four agreed to let him through and this marked the beginning of his singing career.
After singing a song titled "Champagne Supernova," Horan did not make it to the next stage of the show, but there was saving. One of the judges known as Nicole Scherzinger made a suggestion that Horan joins a boy-band group known as "One Direction," so they can make beautiful music together. The other band members included; Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. The group made magic music from that moment on and at the end of the show, they came third.
After 2016, which is when the band decided to go on an indefinite leave, some of the singers went solo, and one of them is Niall Horan. He began his solo journey by signing a record deal with Capitol Records, and in that same year, he released his first solo single. This was the beginning for him and he did not relent as he released several amazing songs and albums for his fans. The singer is said to be worth over $58 million post-One Direction.
