Much has been written about the power of rice water for skin care, with the centuries-old ingredient found in everything from cleansers to creams. But rice water is also the not-so-secret ingredient in La La Anthony’s hair care company, Inala, which has quickly become a go-to brand for people looking to improve the strength and health of their hair.

Inala’s signature product is the Reset Rinse, a weekly hair and scalp treatment that promotes better hair texture, regrowth and shine. Anthony, best known for her roles in Power and BMF, says she discovered the benefits of rice water after looking for a way to treat her hair, which was often damaged from being styled on sets and red carpets. In her words, she quickly saw “transformative results,” and thus, Inala was born.
Inala Reset Rice Water Rinse
Inala’s Reset Rinse uses a rice water-based formula to help tame flyaways and frizz, and keep hair smooth, moisturized and shiny. The brand’s signature “Rice Water Complex” includes amino acids and vitamins for hair health; aloe extract to hydrate the scalp; and biotin to revive hair at the follicles, helping to promote length and growth.
Users say the Reset Rinse also helps reduce hair breakage, repair damaged hair, and is great for getting rid of sticky build-up from styling products. To use: tilt the bottle so that the tip is pointed towards your scalp. Squeeze a little bit of product directly onto the scalp and hairline, and gently massage into the roots and strands. Leave on for 2-3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
Note: the Reset Rinse is meant as a leave-in treatment but does not replace a normal shampoo and conditioner so you’ll want to follow up by washing your hair as usual. Start by using the rinse once a week and increase frequency as needed.
