Monica Garcia is opening up about the end of her marriage to her husband Mike.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 40, exclusively told PEOPLE during BravoCon 2023 that the couple’s divorce was finalized “a week and a half ago.” She added, “I'm in Vegas — like, what a way to celebrate.”

The Bravo star played coy when asked if she was dating someone new, saying, “I don't know.”

Garcia added that doesn’t have a type when it comes to dating, noting, “It's more about the connection for me.”

The divorce update comes after Garcia opened up about her Mormon upbringing on a September episode of RHOSLC. She revealed to costar Heather Gay the shocking reason why she was excommunicated from the church: "For f---ing my brother-in-law for 18 months."

Gay — who also left the Mormon church — was stunned to hear this and asked how the affair was exposed. Garcia said she eventually confessed to her bishop because she "felt guilty" — only to be immediately "shunned from everything and everyone." (In contrast, Garcia claimed her brother-in-law — who she clarified was her husband's sister's husband — allegedly faced no consequences.)

"Genuinely and truly one of the worst experiences of my life," she told Gay, holding back tears.

The following month, the Bravo star told E! News fans were going to be surprised to learn what led her and Mike to file for divorce again in June after first splitting in 2013.

"You guys are going to be shocked when you discover the real reasons why we're actually getting a divorce now because it's not because of the affair," she explained.

"Hopefully I get the chance to clear things up and explain timelines, but the people in my life have already known about this," she added. "They've already known about the affair, they've already known about the excommunication and we've all had the time to process this information already."

"It is something that I'm telling these women for the first time, but it was not something that I was nervous sharing because, as you'll see throughout the season and hopefully at reunion, you'll be able to put pieces together and I understand more so why it's easier for me to discuss."
