"RHONJ" star Joe Giudice smiled in his first photo since being released from ICE custody.
In a snap shared by his oldest daughter, Gia, it shows Joe on FaceTime with her as he prepared for his deportation to Italy.
Gia shared the photo on Saturday and stated, "one of the happiest moments of my life!"
She continued, "love you so much daddy, so happy your [sic] free! see you so soon."
PEOPLE confirmed that Joe flew out to Rome on Friday, and will still fight his deportation case through lawyers.In the pic, Joe looks healthy and happy ahead of his deportation.
Teresa Speaks Out:
On Friday, Teresa Giudice took to social media and shared a gut-wrenching photo of the Statue of Liberty crying.
She only captioned the post with praying emojis, and several of her "Real Housewives" co-stars sent their support.
Margaret Josephs wrote, "Only love and prayers."
Gia added, "love you mom. he's free now."
Teresa and Joe have been married for 20 years.
She too went to prison for fraud, but Joe is not a U.S. citizen.
As The Blast reported, despite moving to the states when he was a child, he never got his citizenship.
He's been battling his deportation case since his release from prison earlier this year.
Joe has been in ICE custody since March.
Gia too paid tribute to her father on the day he headed back to Italy.
Sharing a throwback from her childhood, showing Joe holding her, she wrote, "facetime you soon daddy."
Besides Gia, Teresa and Joe are parents to three other daughters.
