'RHOC' Star Tamra Judge Back in Court Over Alexis Bellino's Ex-Husband's $1 Million Lawsuit
“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Tamra Judge’s insurance company is demanding the reality stars lawsuit over coverage, be thrown out.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Encompass Insurance Company is firing back at the reality star’s claims.
Earlier this year, Judge sued Encompass for their refusal to cover her legal bills in the ongoing $1 million defamation lawsuit brought by Alexis Bellino’s ex-husband, Jim. She says they denied her request, despite her belief her policy covered the situation.

Last year, Jim Bellino sued Judge and co-star Shannon Beador for $1 million dollars. He accused the two of defaming his good name by trashing his family on a podcast with comedian Heather McDonald.
He accused the reality stars of spreading lies that his divorce was fake and that his trampoline business had left customers paralyzed and claimed, “he’s going to jail.”
Beador and Judge both denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Beador was able to get dismissed from the lawsuit. She was awarded $138,000 in attorney fees. The case against Judge continues on.
In the newly filed docs, Encompass is seeking to have Judge’s lawsuit dismissed. They claim her policy does NOT cover Bellino’s lawsuit.
They argue that the policy does not cover personal injury claims that arise from “public activities performed for pay” or “arising out of civic or public activities performed”. They say Judge made the comments about Bellino, at a public event at the Irvine Improv Comedy Club. Therefore, they claim they do not have to cover her legal bills.
In her lawsuit, Judge said, “Encompass basis for its denial is absurd and based on an exclusion that it knows is completely inapplicable to the facts of the Bellino action. Encompass at all times looked out for its own interest ahead of that of its policyholder. As a result of Encompass’s bad faith handling of Plaintiff’s claim, and its failure to provide Plaintiff with a defense, Plaintiff is forced to pay for her own defense when Encompass knows fully that the obligation to defend rests with it.”
She sued demanding Encompass cover her legal bills, along with unspecified damages.
Tamra has has no shortage of off-screen drama.
