'RHOC' Star Kelly Dodd Will Not Let Boyfriend Rick Leventhal Film For Reality Show

“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Kelly Dodd has no plans to make her Fox News reporter boyfriend Rick Leventhal a storyline on the show.

The reality star started dating Leventhal this summer. The two have been spending a lot of time together. Dodd has been flying out to New York where he lives. He has also been making trips to Orange County for her.

Leventhal celebrated Dodd’s birthday with multiples parties. They even took a whirlwind vacation where they visited 5 different countries in six weeks.

Recently, Leventhal posted a photo after returning home to New York. The snap shows the two kissing captioned, “Miss you already @kellyddodd.”

One follower commented, “Keep him OFF the Housewives and you’ll be fine…We don’t need the “pot stirrer Tamra or Icky Vicki around him.” Dodd was in a chatty mood and responded, “agreed.”

The decision to not allow Leventhal on “RHOC” could be risky for Dodd. Many other “Housewives” have been criticized by their cast members for doing the same thing. Some argue if you’re on a reality show you need to show everything. Dodd clearly is not one of those people

Another fan told Leventhal “Don’t screw it up rick” to which he replied, “not a chance.”

One person suggested Dodd should move to New York to be with her man. A fan pointed out Dodd has a daughter who lives in Orange County.

Dodd explained, “she lives with me .. our custody is one week on and one week off .. she lives with me 50 percent of the time … that’s our custody.”

“Awwwwwwwwww, must suck being on opposite coasts. Love your love story you two!!❤️❤️❤️” wrote one fan. Dodd responded, “it does suck.”

Dodd even hung out with Leventhal after being sued by her costar Vicki Gunvalson. The two were spotted in the Hamptons hours after the lawsuit was filed.

In the suit, Gunvalson accused Dodd of defaming her with several comments on “Real Housewives of Orange County.”

Gunvalson points to Dodd saying “You prey on older people”; “You are a con woman” and you engaged in “fraud.” Gunvalson fired off a cease and desist to Bravo, demanding they not air the footage.

The producers did not cave to her demands and aired the footage. The lawsuit stated, “By intentionally, recklessly and with actual malice publishing that portion of the episode in question which contains this known falsehood and disseminating it to the general public as fact through the medium of television and to an audience who would have no question that the falsehoods concerns the Plaintiff, Defendants will damage the Plaintiff’s reputation in an amount that cannot be quantified.”

Gunvalson was trashed by “RHOC” fans after filing her suit. She would decide to voluntarily dismiss the case days after filing.

The “Real Housewives of Orange County” filmed their reunion show last week. The sparks are expected to fly between Dodd and Gunvalson.

After taping, Gunvalson took to social media to allude she is done with the show for good.
