'RHOBH' Star Delilah Belle Reveals She Went to Rehab Twice

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Rinna's oldest daughter is opening up about her struggles with anxiety and depression, and how two recent bouts with rehab left her feeling happy and in control of her life.

21-year-old Delilah Belle Hamlin made the revelation Friday night on Instagram, beginning with, "I've been hesitant to share this information with you guys because there are a lot of you now and sometimes that scares me."

Delilah wrote, "I strive to try my hardest to be a positive influence on my younger followers. I wanted to share this with you guys today because it could help at least one person struggling with anxiety and or depression."

"This time last year I was in rehabilitation. I moved to New York to start my journey as a student at NYU. Not long after I moved to New York I began having terrible depression. I started attracting negative people into my life because my thoughts were so negative. I got trapped in a severely unhealthy relationship that pushed me over the edge. I couldn't get out of the relationship because I thought I was deserving of it.

Delilah, who is the daughter of Lisa and Harry Hamlin, said the situation was so crippling that she called her mom and packed her bags to travel back home to L.A.

"Two weeks later I was admitted into a rehab facility. I knew the way I was living was unhealthy and detrimental to my mental health so I called my mom and told her I needed help. Little did I knew that this was going to be the BEST thing that has ever happened to me. I learned so much about being independent, feeling less shameful and guilty, I learned about self love instead of self deprivation and so much more."

It wasn't the first time Delilah would seek help, because in June she returned for a 60-day stay.

She described that treatment helped her "work through traumas and self love," and that she learned what "self respect meant."

"Saying no is okay! Do only things that make you happy and make you feel god about yourself. Don't let another individual take over your live and tell you who you are or how to be. Take control of your own life and get rid of all negative people and energy that may surround you. And I guarantee this will lead to a happier life even if it's hard at the moment."

Delilah credits her strong support system, including her parents, and makes it clear that those suffering from anxiety or depression should reach out and ask for help, because "it will change your life."

The Hamlin family has been very open about their struggles, as Delilah's younger sister, Amelia Gray Hamlin, revealed she had previously struggled with an eating disorder.

Their mother, Lisa Rinna, discussed her own internal struggles during the past season of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
