Surrogacy News:

She continued to talk about the surrogacy experience, insinuating she would have been more satisfied with the process had she gotten pregnant on her own. “I just feel like this whole situation is strange. I don’t get to be excited about the first kick," the grammy winning songwriter explained. "I don’t get to be excited about, ‘Oh now my baby bump is showing.’ I don’t get to be excited even about my boobs filling up with milk.” She added, “You have this guilt [and] sadness, so it’s a joyous, yet interesting experience.”

Baby #2!

Fans learned that Kandi and Todd were expecting their second child together back in September via surrogate. After the two experienced a high-risk pregnancy with their now three-year-old son, Ace, the "RHOA" star began to explore other options and the couple started talking about looking for a surrogate for their next child. The duo are already parents to older children from past relationships. Kandi Burruss is a mom to 16-year-old daughter Riley and Todd has a daughter named Kaela, who's 22 years old.

Fans watched the two discuss the topic of surrogacy during season 11 of "RHOA." Kandi Burruss was concerned with carrying her own child following the challenges of her last pregnancy with Ace. She was also worried about her history with fibroids, which is noncancerous growths in the uterus.

The Gender:

The "RHOA" star's OBGYN is "Married to Medicine" star Dr. Jackie Walters and after the three met, Kandi and Todd felt comfortable with their surrogacy decision. They chose a woman named Shadina to hold their child and according to People, she is due sometime this month. “To allow somebody to carry my child inside of them? It was a tough decision to make,” Kandi Burruss stated on Sunday’s "RHOA" episode. During an interview with Us Weekly last year, she revealed they still had two left over embryos after going through the IVF process with her last pregnancy. Kandi Burruss also stated the last two embryos are both girls. “We have two embryos that are still left from when we had Ace," she stated. "So, we have two embryos left and we know they’re girls.”

Relationship History:

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker began dating in 2011 during "RHOA" season 4. They got married in April 2014 and revealed she was pregnant a little over a year later. On January 6, 2016, Kandi and Todd welcomed their son, Ace Wells Tucker, to the world. While this will be their second child together, it will be the fourth child for their family, as each of them has one kid from previous relationships.
