WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has been forced to vacate the title due to injury.

Rhea Ripley addressed the situation on the April 15 episode of WWE RAW and said that she has been told that she is stuck on the bench for quite a few months, and she must vacate the title due to injury. Ripley said the title means the most to her in her life, so relinquishing it was painful. She put the title down before she targeted Liv Morgan and blamed her for the injury. Ripley warned that whoever won the title that she would be coming back for blood.

“The Eradicator” said they would have to lock her up when she found Morgan. Morgan came out, and security officials held her back. Ripley tried to fight Morgan, but officials stopped her. Ripley then headbutted one of the guards.

Ripley seemingly suffered the injury during a brawl with Morgan on the April 8 episode of WWE RAW.

Further details are not immediately provided. As of this writing, there is no word on how a new champion will be crowned. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.

Ripley’s reign with the title comes to an end at 380 days; this breaks Bayley’s record for the longest reign. She beat Charlotte Flair to win the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39, and it was later renamed the Women’s World Championship. In her last defense, she beat Becky Lynch to retain the gold at WrestleMania 40.
