Who owns Pane e Vino?

Eric Cavallaro, who opened Pepe e Sale in 2020 in downtown Stuart, went back to his roots in the pizzeria restaurant business by opening Pane e Vino with his cousin, Alfio Trovato, who also is managing partner. Pepe e sale translates to pepper and salt; pane e vino translates to bread and wine.

Cavallaro grew up in the business with his parents, who immigrated from Sicily to Brooklyn, and married Maria, who also is from Sicily. Trovato, who was born and raised in Catania, Sicily, studied tourism economics and food and beverage management.

What kind of restaurant is Pane e Vino?

Pane e Vino is an Italian restaurant that combines the flavors of Sicily, Naples and Sardinia. It features Sicilian and Neapolitan pizza by chef Rosario Stiano, using a traditional Neapolitan wood oven, and Sardinian influences from chef Nico Zallu.

It opens for lunch service during the week before it closes and reopens for dinner service during the week and on the weekends.
