New restaurant on Pine Ridge Road in Naples offers South Vietnamese cuisine: What to know

When former New York Times critic Sam Sifton heads to Naples and namedrops a restaurant, we check it out. Upon Googling, I recognized the address pronto.

Pho 80 replaces Hanoi Quán, whose signage remains. That restaurant’s specialty was North Vietnamese pho.

Moving from Michigan to Naples six months ago, Celine and Noah Trinh ― he is originally from Ho Chi Minh City in South Vietnam ― are the spot's new owners. This is their first restaurant.

They bought the spot in November, closing it for renovations for a month, then officially opened Dec. 9.

A peek inside reveals cheerier brighter décor, especially in the “Boba Bear Tea” room. The menu is different, with offerings beyond phos uploaded via a QR code.

Entrées span $17 for chicken pho to $60 for a seafood hot pot serving two.

Hours: Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Closed Tuesday.
