Restaurant news: Popular chicken finger chain restaurant to open first Volusia location

One of the nation’s most popular chicken finger chain restaurants is coming soon to Daytona Beach.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, known for its never-frozen tenders, crinkle-cut fries and Cane's sauce, is opening its first Volusia County location in the near future, according to a social media post by the City of Daytona Beach.

The 3,267-square-foot fast-food eatery will be located “on the southwest corner of International Speedway and Williamson boulevards, where the former Pier 1 Imports was located,” according to the Facebook post, and will include two drive-thru lanes for convenient, grab-and-go service.

The ever-growing chain got its start in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1996, where founder Todd Graves opened the first shop, and has since expanded to more than 700 stores across the nation. The casual lunch and dinner staple is known for its crave-able chicken finger meals, and promises quality cuisine, noting on its website the use of a “cook-to-order system that ensures a great-tasting chicken finger meal served hot and fresh every time.”

The restaurant's menu ranges from the chicken sandwich, crinkle cut fries and coleslaw to a variety of chicken finger combo meals, like the four-finger box combo, six-finger Caniac Combo and the two-finger kids' combo.

According to the restaurant’s website, applications are open for a Raising Cane’s “Restaurant Leader” for the new Daytona Beach location.

Raising Cane’s will be located at 2451 W. International Speedway Blvd. in Daytona Beach. An opening date has not yet been announced.
