New restaurant: Fast-growing Treasure Coast pizza chain opens seventh location

A local pizzeria chain has opened its seventh location on the Treasure Coast.

Downtown Benny’s Pizza opened Sept. 11 in a strip plaza on Mapp Road in Palm City, between Martin Downs Boulevard and Sunset Trail.

It’s the first location in Palm City but the third in Martin County, where the local pizzeria began four years ago. Now, there are two locations in Jensen Beach, two in Port St. Lucie and two in Fort Pierce.

Specialty pizza pies ($17.95-$21.95) feature the Mulberry Street, topped with Italian sausage, fire-roasted peppers, red onions, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and feta cheese; and Benny’s Special, topped with mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushroom and onions.

Plus, the menu includes fresh sandwiches, wraps and hot grinders. Desserts include cheesecake, tiramisu, cannoli and zeppole.
