SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — At long last, together. In person. Celebrating.

The Southampton Hospital Foundation's Summer Party is back on the social scene, and it didn't come empty-handed. It brought its "A" game.

The 65th annual event took place Aug. 5 at the usual stomping ground, under tents erected on the property at Wickapogue and Old County roads, and honored Audrey and Martin Gruss, John Paulson, Jay Lieberman and Megan and Ken Wright.

Stacey Bronfman, Laura Lofaro Freeman, Ros L’Esperance, Ashley McDermott, Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Renee Rockefeller, Sarah Wetenhall and Joey Wölffer were chairwomen for the evening, themed "A Night at The Colony Hotel."

Yep, that Colony hotel. Its signature pink-and-green beach buggy parked in front of the tent was a pretty good clue.

The night kicked off with a cocktail reception that included an exhibit of Nick Mele's photography, the Colony's signature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and lounge-style tunes from "American Idol" alum Christiaan Padavan.

We're guessing chairwoman Wetenhall, who with her husband Andrew owns The Colony, had something to do with that.

“The Colony hotel is so happy to partner with the Southampton Hospital Foundation Summer Party to create such an exciting and fresh event,” she said. “The funds raised ... will have a lasting impact on the entire East End community and we’re grateful to be a small part of that.”

After cocktails, the crowd moved to the main tent — complete with a dance floor wrapped in the hotel's swimming pool motif, scalloped umbrellas and loungers, the deGournay mural, and pink-and-green floral installations by Lewis Miller Design — for dinner, recognition of the honorees, and a performance by Tony- and Grammy-nominated singer Shoshana Bean.

The night continued with a live auction conducted by Lydia Fenet and dancing until even the orthopedists limped home.

Fiona Druckenmiller, Anne Keating, Julia Koch and Mary Kathryn Navab were summer honorary chairwomen.

Somers and Jonathan Farkas, Sheila and Joseph Fuchs, Jean Remmel Little, Margo and James L. Nederlander, Melanie and John Wambold and Cindy and Ladd Willis served as legacy chairs.

More than 500 people attended, including Veronica Atkins, Dennis Basso, Margo and John Catsimatidis, Maria Danca, Elena Ford, Tamron Hall, Ambassador John Loeb and Sharon Loeb, Howard Lorber, Julie and Billy Macklowe, Deborah Norville, Bill O'Reilly, Jean and Martin Shafiroff, Cameron Silver, Ramona Singer, Jocelyn and Eric Woolworth, Rachel Zoe, and a whole lot more who have their podiatrists on speed dial.

Proceeds from the night — more than $2 million — will assist Stony Brook Southampton Hospital in its mission to provide access to high-quality health care in the Hamptons, including the John and Jenny Paulson Emergency Department and the new Emergency Department in East Hampton.
