More reports are surfacing after the fallout from Megan and Harry's announcement they didn't want to be senior members of the royal family.
This time, it seems that Harry started to cut off his close friends as Meghan's pregnancy progressed.People writes that a lot of this seismic change happened about six months into Meghan's pregnancy. And it sounds like it was a lot of Harry's close friends who got snubbed.
According to an insider:
“Most no longer even have his cell number. They totally understand that men often drift from their friends after marriage, but there’s still a lot of resentment because they had been so close for so long.”
People does say that Harry has kept his friend Charlie van Straubenzee within his inner circle. Van Straubenzee is also Archie's godfather.
He's a New Dad
Harry's friend, JJ Chalmers, also spoke this week about noticing changes with his buddy, but that it was most likely to do with the fact that he was going to be a dad soon.
"When you look at the decision that he's made, I think at the forefront of that is to protect his family because the number one rule is to be a father and be a husband," Chalmers said.
Sibling Rivalry
Nick Bullen, editor-in-chief of True Royalty TV, also says the relationship between the brothers is certainly troubling.
“There is no doubt that the relationship between Princes Harry and William are at an all-time low," Bullen said.
But Bullen also said that things are in flux within the royal family, and the siblings want to make things work.
“Everyone around them is working flat out to try and repair things. The next few weeks and months will be fascinating for anyone interested in the royal family.”
Fractured Family
People also writes that Harry and his brother, William, have been growing apart, especially when William thought Harry and Meghan were moving too quickly in their relationship.
And as the couple began to move apart from the rest of the royal family, that separation was being felt between the two brothers, though it sounds like their dad, Charles, had no intention of causing a wedge between them.
“Charles has always envisioned working with both of his sons and their families in the future,” a source told People.
