Reporter Explains Why He Believes Quadruple Murder Suspect Bryan Kohberger Didn’t Fight Extradition To Idaho

Bryan Kohberger, a 28-year-old doctoral student at Washington State University, has been arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree murder and felony burglary in connection with the November 13, 2022, slayings of four University of Idaho students. Kohberger, who was apprehended at his parent’s home in eastern Pennsylvania nearly seven weeks after the murders, did not fight extradition to Idaho. “When he was in Pennsylvania, Kohberger and his team – his lawyers – they weren’t allowed to see the probable cause affidavit. He had to be on the ground here in Idaho for it to be released even to them,” says Brian Entin of the cable news network, NewsNation. “It seems they wanted to rush him back here so that they could at least find out what was going on behind the scenes in terms of what police and the prosecution actually knew.” Since Kohberger’s return to Idaho, a court-ordered gag order has limited the information authorities involved with the case are able to share.
