According to a new report, fans can expect to see more main roster stars come to WWE NXT.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins headlined WWE NXT Gold Rush Week One on June 20, as he defended the gold against Bron Breakker. Other main roster stars, including Baron Corbin, Dana Brooke, and Mustafa Ali, have performed on NXT in recent weeks as well.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE has plans for more “”major stars” from the main roster to work NXT, and Ronda Rousey specifically has been talked about. One idea was potentially having Rousey and Shayna Baszler defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the show.

Per Meltzer, the goal is to use the main roster stars to boost NXT’s ratings. Rollins’ brief feud with Bron Breakker was seen as a huge success, so it’s fair to assume WWE is looking for ways to follow up on that.

Main roster stars have occasionally worked NXT in recent years. AJ Styles, Matt Riddle, and others have competed on the show at different points.
