Report: Giants K Aldrick Rosas charged with hit-and-run after allegedly T-boning truck

New York Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas has been arrested on a hit-and-run charge after allegedly slamming into a truck in an intersection and leaving the scene, TMZ reports.

The Giants confirmed to NJ.com that they are aware of the allegation, but provided no further comment.

The alleged incident remains under investigation, and officials suspect alcohol was involved, according to TMZ.

Witnesses in Chico, Calif. saw Rosas, 25, driving his Chevrolet SUV erratically around 100 mph before running a red light and T-boning a pickup truck in an intersection around 8:25 a.m. on Monday, police told TMZ. Rosas then allegedly drove off before his vehicle broke down when he fled on foot, witnesses told the police.

Police say they found Rosas bloodied and in bare feet walking near the crash site, according to the report.

Multiple charges for Rosas

Police told TMZ they took Rosas to a medical center for evaluation before booking him on charges of hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license. The alcohol impairment allegation reportedly remains under investigation. There is no report on the condition of the other driver.

Rosas, a Chico native, has kicked for the Giants for three seasons, making 62-of-75 (82.7 percent) of his field goal attempts and 86-of-94 (91.5 percent) of his extra point attempts.

He made the Pro Bowl after the 2018 season.
