Eddie Kingston reportedly got banged up at NJPW Resurgence.

At NJPW Resurgence, Eddie Kingston defended the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship against Gabe Kidd in a No Rope Last Man Standing Match. Kidd scored the win, and Kingston seemingly hurt his leg at the end of the match. He partially landed on the barricade during a suplex. After the bout, the Young Bucks attacked Kingston from behind.

Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com wrote that Eddie Kingston legitimately hurt his knee on the barricade at the end of the match. Alvarez noted that the extent of the injury was unclear.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) then reported that, per sources, Kingston “got hurt to some extent” on the suplex spot. Sapp writes that Kingston required some assistance, but he walked with a bad limp backstage after the match. There is no word on the severity, but Kingston was dealing with a legitimate injury after the match.

Eddie Kingston is scheduled to compete in the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing. He is set to team up with Team AEW to face The Elite.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
