Report: Chris Jericho Seemingly Saw AEW Dynasty Crowd Reaction Coming, Update On FTW Title

Chris Jericho anticipated the crowd’s harsh reactions to him, according to a new report.

Former world champion Chris Jericho has been heavily booed in recent weeks, and some fans have even chanted “Please retire.” The reactions were especially evident at AEW Dynasty, where Jericho beat HOOK to win the FTW Championship.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Chris Jericho anticipated the crowd’s reaction at AEW Dynasty and afterwards, citing multiple multiple AEW talent and sources close to Jericho. These sources noted that the reactions have played out “almost exactly” like Jericho “laid it out to them” in advance.

Chris Jericho was heavily booed and criticized at AEW Dynasty, but he may have anticipated it.

Additionally, Sapp writes that Jericho changing the name of the FTW Title to the For The World Championship was a surprise to many, including former champion Taz, who brought it to AEW.
