Brian Cage’s contract with All Elite Wrestling is reportedly up in the near future.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that, barring an extension, Cage’s deal is set to expire in a few weeks. The former FTW Champion’s deal was up last year, but AEW picked up his option year. At the time, Cagehadn’t been on television in months, but he has been prominently featured in recent weeks, He has often competed on AEW TV; Cage faced Willie Mack on the January 24 episode of AEW Rampage, and he will take on Bryan Danielson on the January 25 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Sapp also wrote that there have been “feelers” within WWE, which have gauged the company’s potential interest in bringing Cage in, but it’s unclear where the situation stands in that regard.

Cage currently holds the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship with Kaun and Toa Liona. They won the titles at ROH Final Battle 2022, where they defeated Dalton Castle and The Boys.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
