The defund the police movement has reached the Reno Sheriff’s Department. The Roku Channel has ordered a new season of Reno 911!, in which Lieutenant Jim Dangle and his loyal group of deputies find themselves without an operating budget. Watch the newly revealed trailer below.

Reno 911! Defunded consists of eleven 30-minute episodes premiering on February 25th. Along with Thomas Lennon’s Jim Dangle, returning cast members include Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Niecy Nash and Cedric Yarbrough. Additionally, Jamie Lee Curtis, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and George Lopez will make guest appearances throughout the season.

Following its initial run between 2003 and 2009, Reno 911! was briefly rebooted by Quibi in 2020. A full-length film — Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon — premiered last December on Paramount+
