Renée Zellweger and Boyfriend Ant Anstead Spotted Together in Laguna Beach Ahead of Valentine’s Day

The couple, who have been in a relationship for nearly three years, first met on the set of Anstead’s discovery+ show ‘Celebrity IOU Joyride’ in April 2021

• Ant Anstead and Renee Zellweger were spotted in Laguna Beach together while heading out for lunch on Tuesday.

• Zellweger appeared to be telling her boyfriend something on the sidewalk as he gazed off in the distance. 

• The movie star and car expert live together in the area and have been in a relationship for nearly three years.

It doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day for Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger to enjoy a date together!

On Tuesday, the couple were spotted out and about in Laguna Beach, Calif. while heading out to grab lunch together. The pair both sported black jackets and jeans as Zellweger, 54, rocked one of her many signature caps.

In one shot, Zellweger is looking up at her boyfriend, 44, while holding onto her dog’s leash. She appears to be telling Anstead something as he looks off into the distance with his hands in his pockets.

While the couple tend to keep their relationship out of the public eye, the two were seen together again in a rare sighting earlier in January.

Zellweger proved to be a supportive girlfriend at one of Anstead’s soccer matches in Orange County, Calif. as she watched her boyfriend from the sidelines. She was wearing her favorite burnt orange Texas Longhorns baseball hat and a similar black jacket.

The award-winning actress has been a devoted supporter of Anstead’s semi-professional soccer team, the U.S. affiliate of Southampton FC, including in last May when she cheered on her boyfriend’s win at the championship game.

The lovebirds first met while filming an episode of Anstead’s discovery+ show, Celebrity IOU Joyride, in spring 2021 and PEOPLE later confirmed they were in a relationship in June that same year.

In April 2023, the pair celebrated their two-year anniversary together and a source revealed to PEOPLE that they had also "found a house that they both love and are moving in together" that same month. News of their move came shortly after Anstead officially let go of his beloved "Temple House" in Laguna Beach earlier that month.

Ahead of their big milestone, another source told PEOPLE that the pair’s relationship was getting serious: "Ant is very happy with Renée. He really loves her. They spend a lot of time at home. It's a very normal relationship and both are committed long-term."

Zellweger has also gotten to know Anstead’s three children and has even spent holidays with them in the past. The Radford Reborn star has two older children — Amelie, 19, and Archie, 17 —  from his first marriage. He also shares son Hudson, 4, with ex Christina Hall.
