The Center for the Performing Arts' new season schedule is brimming with music icons — and the stories behind their experiences. Across the fall of 2024 and first half of 2025, stars from rock, jazz, classical, Broadway and more will visit the Carmel venue to perform new works and the ones that made them beloved.

Big names include original "Hamilton" stars Leslie Odom Jr. and Renée Elise Goldsberry, composer and genre-bending pop musician Ben Folds, veteran Jimmy Buffett sideman Mac McAnally, Grand Funk Railroad, piano star Lang Lang, iconic violinist Itzhak Perlman and Micky Dolenz of the Monkees.

The Center announced more than 60 events Tuesday, with more to come. Highlights are below. The concerts are at the Palladium unless otherwise noted.

  • Sept. 26: Nick Carter, the Backstreet Boys member who's performing on his solo "Who I Am Tour"

  • Oct. 10: Ben Folds, whose "Paper Airplane Request Tour" encourages fans to send song requests to the stage via paper airplanes

  • Oct. 12: Renée Elise Goldsberry, Broadway singer and actress known for her roles in "Hamilton," "The Color Purple," Netflix's "Girls5eva" and more

  • Oct. 19: Grand Funk Railroad, with original members Don Brewer and Mel Schacher performing hits like “The Loco-Motion” and “Some Kind of Wonderful"

  • Oct. 27: Vitamin String Quartet, playing music of Taylor Swift, "Bridgerton," The Weeknd and more

  • Nov. 22: Leslie Odom Jr., the vocalist, songwriter, actor and author especially known for his portrayal of Aaron Burr in "Hamilton"

  • Nov. 24: Dionne Warwick, the iconic vocalist whose plethora of hits include “Walk On By,” “I Say a Little Prayer” and “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again”

  • Jan. 10, 2025: Mac McAnally, the veteran member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band, who's won the Country Music Association’s Musician of the Year title and been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame

  • March 21, 2025: "Welcome Back My Friends: The Return of Emerson, Lake & Palmer," with Carl Palmer celebrating the progressive-rock supergroup known for “Lucky Man” and “From the Beginning"

  • April 5, 2025: Pure Prairie League, country rock band famous for hits including “Amie,” “Falling In and Out of Love,” “Two Lane Highway"

  • April 25, 2025: "Micky Dolenz of the Monkees: An Evening of Songs and Stories," with the actor, singer, director and writer who's especially known for his time with the band that put out hits “Last Train to Clarksville” and “I'm a Believer”

  • May 1, 2025: "Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives," known for their honky-tonk, rockabilly vibe and leader who's racked up hits and honors as a solo artist and performed with Johnny Cash

  • Sept. 14: Veronica Swift, jazz singer whose latest album includes influences from French and Italian opera, bossa nova, blues, funk and industrial rock (Tarkington Theater)

  • Sept. 28: Damien Escobar, contemporary soul violinist whose music mixes classical, jazz, pop, R&B and hip-hop

  • Nov. 1: Zakir Hussain, tabla virtuoso known for his genre-crossing collaborations, and Rahul Sharma, star player of the santoor, a 100-stringed hammered dulcimer

  • Nov. 8: Grupo Niche, the Colombian salsa orchestra whose "Niche Sinfónico," which they recorded with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, was selected as the Best Salsa Album at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards

  • Jan. 26, 2025: Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, with renowned performers playing repertoire that includes new compositions and iconic pieces and arrangements by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Thelonious Monk and more

  • March 7, 2025: The StepCrew, the Canadian Celtic ensemble that combines Ottawa Valley stepdance, Irish stepdance and tap

  • March 28, 2025: Lang Lang, the virtuoso pianist who is known for his classical music interpretations as well as performing with Metallica, Pharrell Williams and Herbie Hancock

  • April 12, 2025: Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, an eight-piece ensemble of voices and multiple sizes of ukuleles that blend rock, classical, jazz, folk, film soundtracks and more

  • April 17, 2025: Itzhak Perlman, the iconic virtuoso violinist, with pianist Rohan De Silva

  • Oct. 11: #IMomSoHard: Ladies’ Night, with the comedic mom duo of viral Internet fame, an Amazon standup special and wine line

  • Dec. 7: Jane Lynch, the comedian and actress will bring "A Swingin’ Little Christmas" and perform with "The Office" star Kate Flannery and singer-arranger Tim Davis

  • Dec. 14: Jon McLaughlin and Friends, with Christmas songs performed by the Anderson native who's played with Billy Joel, Kelly Clarkson and Adele

  • Feb. 7, 2025: Peter Sagal, host of NPR’s "Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me!" in a show dedicated to what he's learned in the job
