All That Remains have returned with the single “Divine,” their first new song in six years. The track also marks the Massachusetts metal band’s first new music since the tragic death of guitarist Oli Herbert in 2018.
Lead guitarist Jason Richardson (ex-Chelsea Grin) joined All That Remains following Herbert’s passing, filling out a lineup that includes frontman Philip Labonte, drummer Anthony Barone, bassist Matt Deis, and rhythm guitarist Mike Martin.

“Divine” marks a dynamic return for All That Remains, with Labonte’s guttural screams in the verses leading into a clean-sung melodic chorus. Richardson, who has also made a name for himself as a solo guitarist, delivers a blistering solo around the 2:40 mark.
“It’s been a long time since All That Remains released new music,” said Labonte in a press release. “A lot has changed … in both the band, All That Remains, and in the world around us. When we lost Oli in 2018 it was hard to envision a path forward, six years later and I am proud to share ‘Divine’ with you. The press release also notes that “Divine” and any future music is being released independently, via the band’s own All That Remains Records.
The circumstances surrounding Herbert’s death remain mysterious. The guitarist was found dead in a pond near his property in Connecticut, with an investigation still ongoing.
All That Remains were recently announced as support on Megadeth’s headlining 2024 summer US tour, which will also feature Mudvayne. That outing kicks off August 2nd in Rogers, Arkansas, and runs through a September 28th show in Nashville, with tickets available here.
