Amid another round of layoffs at radio giant iHeartMedia, afternoon drive host and program director Reggie Brown is out at Milwaukee's WKKV-FM (100.7) — for the second time in four years.

Brown's name disappeared from the urban contemporary radio station's show schedule last week, about the same time his name turned up on a list compiled by radio industry site Radio Insights of iHeartMedia staffers let go around the country. This week, the host of the weekday 2-to-7-p.m. slot — the one Brown had before the cuts — was listed as Trey White, a radio personality at Chicago iHeart station WGCI-FM.

Brown had spent 21 years at WKKV, known locally as V100, when he was laid off in January 2020, as part of a nationwide layoff of hundreds of employees at iHeart. But he returned to the station three months later, as both afternoon drive-time host and program director.

Brown's departure appears to leave WKKV with an all-iHeart-syndicated-host lineup, anchored in the mornings by the popular national show The Breakfast Club.

Among the other Wisconsin radio personalities to exit iHeart stations during its latest round of cuts, according to Radio Insights and InsideRadio, was Chelsey Steinhauer, program director and midday host at WMAD-FM (96.3) in Madison. Steinhauer had been at WMAD since joining as an intern in 2014, according to her LinkedIn page. She later confirmed her departure on Instagram.

Radio industry watchers expect more job cuts as iHeartMedia continues to restructure its operations nationwide.

iHeartMedia has 19 radio stations in Wisconsin, including seven in Madison, six in Eau Claire and six in Milwaukee. In addition to WKKV, the Milwaukee stations include WRIT-FM (95.7), WRNW-FM (97.3), WMIL-FM (106.1), WISN-AM (1130) and WOKY-AM (920).
