Promoting Her New Project

Reese Witherspoon has been doing press for her new Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show, which tells the story of morning news show that is rocked by the firing of its male anchor (played by Steve Carell) due to allegations of sexual impropriety. Witherspoon plays his replacement, who must navigate the show and her cohost, played by Jennifer Aniston. The show is intended to be an exploration of a post-Me Too working world, and is sure to start some major conversations.

'Legally Blonde 3'

This isn't the first time that Witherspoon has played a woman standing up to sexism in the workplace. Of course, I am speaking of her iconic role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, where she took on bad boyfriends and creepy professors while also proving innocent women innocent in court.

The internet exploded last year when it was announced that Legally Blonde 3 was in development with Witherspoon attached to star and produce.

Would Could Return?

Now, we haven't heard anything new about the project since then, but of course Witherspoon was asked for updates by ET. Witherspoon stated, "It's just a development project right now, so we'll see," devastating the hearts of fans everywhere.

She was also asked who could return if the film does get made, and she only had kind things to say about her castmates.

"I love Jennifer Coolidge and Luke Wilson and Selma Blair and so there's so many great characters that people love. If we end up doing it, hopefully they end up all being there."

Will It Even Get Made?

Will Legally Blonde 3 ever happen? Hopefully! If not, we can just watch the first two on repeat forever.

Warner is probably president anyway.
