Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman Get Murderous in 'Big Little Lies' Trailer
There are monsters underneath the beautiful surface in the first trailer for HBO’s limited series Big Little Lies, starring Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.

The teaser begins with idyllic shots of the ocean and happily family times before revealing a deadly plot that plagues the characters played by Kidman, Witherspoon and The Secret Life of the American Teenager‘s Shailene Woodley.
David E. Kelley penned the eight-episode adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s 2014 darkly comic novel about three mothers of kindergartners whose seemingly perfect lives unravel to the point of murder.
The cast also includes Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood), James Tupper (Revenge), Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation), Laura Dern (Enlightened) and Zoë Kravitz (Californication).
Big Little Lies — directed by Jean-Marc Vallée (Wild, Dallas Buyers Club) — premieres in 2017.
