J.Lo’s resolution is proof that intention is everything. 2019 was all about manifesting for this triple-threat who then took massive action and scored herself multiple awards nominations for her role in Hustlers (including a Golden Globe nom)— not to mention she’ll be performing at the Super Bowl LIV in 2020. So, let’s take Lopez’s resolution with us into the new year and see what kind of magic we can create for ourselves in 2020.

“My New Year’s resolution is to be very picky about what I choose to say yes to,” the Fuller House star previously told Us Weekly. “There are a lot of options and sometimes you gotta stand up and just say no.”

To the person that lost weight over the holidays…. Don’t worry, I found it and I will get it back to you starting January 1st 😬💁🏼♀️👌#TightPants #ButSoWorthIt

Last year, the “Because of You” singer joked about her weight loss plans for the new year. “To the person that lost weight over the holidays… Don’t worry, I found it and will get it back to you starting January 1st.”

Always looking to improve! On her lifestyle blog, which is no longer active, Meghan shared her New Year’s resolution back in 2016. “My New Year’s resolution is to leave room for magic. To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break. To set my goals, but to be open to change,” she wrote.

Stick with the people who pull the magic out of you and not the madness.

“Be on my phone less and be more in the moment,” the reality star vowed back in 2015. Considering we live in a world where celebrities, especially the Kardashians, are constantly sharing updates on social media, we’re not so sure Kourt was able to stick to this one — but it’s a good idea nonetheless!

Back in 2018, the actress shared her powerful resolution on her blog. “My resolution is to continue to fight for women — to build up the women around me, and to work toward producing more projects with women in charge both on and off the screen.”

“I would definitely like to be a closer and a better friend to everybody,” she said previously. “I have this core group of people in my life and it is so hard to keep in touch with them, and they are all having children, and I miss birthdays. And I miss the birth of their kids and I miss their kids’ birthdays and that feels bad every year. So I always send an email around this time every year where I want to be better so I am going to stick with that one forever I think.”

The former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star — who’s been happily married to wife Angela Unkrich since 2012 — definitely gets brownie points for his resolution. “I’m probably gonna make the same New Year’s resolution that I always make, which is love my wife to the fullest every day,” he told Us Weekly.

A creature of habit! The singer’s resolution from 2017 is one he likes to repeat year after year. “My New Year’s resolution is to basically repeat my resolution from last year, which was to take more time off, go see the world, travel, and have some great experiences, so that you can be inspired to get back to work,” he said.
Britney Spears

Back in 2009, the “Circus” singer had a long list of things she wanted to work on. “I would like to stop worrying so much, because I worry all the time,” she said. “And to learn how to be happier, just in general. I have to learn to take things not so seriously. And to stop biting my nails!”
John Mayer

The musician shared his New Year’s resolution — which involves how he consumes the news — on his Instagram stories in early 2019. “When reading news, take in only what happened, not the think space around what happened. Do this only once for each incident.”
Kylie Jenner

Oddly enough, the (now) billionaire’s resolution back in 2016 was to stop spending money! “Just because I just bought a house and I get stressed, because I’ve never spent that much money. I’m just focused on business at this point,” she said. Things have changed quite a bit since then — she recently sold a majority stake in her Kylie Cosmetics company for a whopping $600 million — so we doubt the youngest Jenner sister is still worried about finances.
