Ree Took the Funniest Picture With Todd and Jamar on Mother's Day
Ree Drummond knows a thing or two about being a mom.
After all, The Pioneer Woman has five kids who are (almost) all grown up. Alex, Paige, and Bryce have already left the ranch and gone off on their new adventures, which is exciting! But it also means Ree's had to accept that she won't always have her whole crew around for holidays like Mother's Day.
"Ever since Bryce left for college in January, I finally realized how rare it was going to be to get all the kids together," Ree says. "Alex would come home but Paige and Bryce would be at school; Paige would come home, but not Alex and Bryce; Alex and Bryce were here but Paige couldn't make it...you parents of older kids know the drill!"
So she wasn't too surprised when that's exactly what happened on Mother's Day this year. Alex is on her honeymoon with her new husband Mauricio, while Bryce and Paige headed back to school after Alex's wedding. Luckily, Ree still had two of her boys around to mark the special occasion.
"Happy Mother’s Day!" she captioned her latest Instagram post. "I have 2/5 with me today. I’ll take it! ❤️"
The sweet photos showed Ree spending time with Todd and Jamar. In the first shot, all three of them are posing with big smiles. The second picture is more candid and gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse at what it's like trying to take photos with teenage boys. 😂 Ree described the contrast perfectly: "How it's going vs. how it started."
Although Ree's other kids couldn't be there for the funny photo opp, they still showed their appreciation for her with touching tributes on Instagram.
Bryce reminded everyone to celebrate their moms by sharing a picture of himself with his own mother.
Alex and Paige expressed matching sentiments, each calling Ree their "rock" and "role model."
Ree even got a special shout-out from Alex for being the best MOB ever.
With kids like that, it's easy to see why Ree is such a proud mama! ❤️
