Based on Casey McQuiston's novel, Red, White & Royal Blue hit Prime Video in August 2023 to rave reviews from critics who praised the enemies-to-lovers tale for scratching that romcom itch.

Audiences loved it even more, rating it 93% on aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, and there have since been murmurings about where Alex Claremont-Diaz and Prince Henry might end up next.

Now, the story will continue with Matthew López returning to pen the screenplay, this time joined by the author of Red, White & Royal Blue author, Casey McQuiston, who will also serve as an executive producer.

Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter return to produce for Berlanti Schechter Films, with Michael McGrath also producing, as well as Matthew López.

What exactly will the film entail? That information is under wraps. While the plot of 2023's Red, White & Royal Blue would have been familiar to fans of McQuiston's novel, the next chapter in Alex Claremont-Diaz and Prince Henry's story does not exist as a book.

We left the couple happily in love after facing many trials and tribulations, but will it still be happily ever after for the two after the sequel? We'll have to wait and see.
