The Red Hot Chili Peppers are nursing a mystery injury.

The alt-rockers announced Tuesday that they’ll be sidelined for the next six weeks — including for a scheduled performance this weekend — after an unidentified band member was hurt.

Frontman Anthony Kiedis, 61, drummer Chad Smith, 62, bassist Flea, 61, and guitarist John Frusciante, 53, were scheduled to perform at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas annual concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on Saturday.

“It is with deep regret that we will not be able to perform this weekend at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas. A band member was injured, preventing us from being able to perform for at least 6 weeks,” the band said in a statement shared to social media. “However, RHCP and @KROQ are excited to make it up to you on March 2nd 2024 at The Forum. So, have a great time this weekend and hang on to your ticket.”

KROQ, a Los Angeles-based alternative rock radio station, shared a message to the band, and told fans that more details would be coming soon regarding the “special performance” in March.

“Get well soon @chilipeppers,” the station wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Hang on to your @almostacoustic ticket for entry to a special performance by RHCP on Saturday, March 2nd. More details coming soon.”

The setback comes days after Red Hot Chili Peppers announced that they’ll be extending their Unlimited Love tour by more than a dozen dates starting in May and running through July. They’ll be joined at select shows by artists like Ice Cube, Ken Carson and Kid Cudi.

The “Black Summer” singers first kicked off the tour in 2022, the same year they released the albums Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen.
