Red Flags In Dorit and PK’s Marriage

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple first met in 2011 when both Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley lived in New York City. They happened upon one another through mutual friends while eating out at a restaurant. Dorit, being Dorit, played hard to get and turned down PK’s advances. In 2015, the couple tied the knot at the famous Rainbow Room, with Boy George even performing in the ceremony. However, many thought the relationship was doomed from the start, noting multiple red flags.

Was the Age Difference Too Much?

With a nine-year age difference, it is possible the two were on two different paths. Even though it is not a significant age gap, multiple red flags could have been waving for Dorit and PK. The mother of two was an up-and-coming fashion designer who had just launched her own swimwear company, Doirt. PK was well-established in the music business. It could be that Doirt saw dollar signs when stumbling upon her one true love.

Could Dorit Have Been a Gold Digger?

Dorit is from Connecticut, so where she got her pretend posh accent is beyond me. It could be that she was a chameleon of change when it came to landing her Daddy Warbucks. The fake accent is indicative of the type of person Dorit is: contrived, false, pretentious, and elitist. After appearing on her first season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it became clear that the fashionista desperately wanted to be a part of the 90210 high society.

PK may have promised her all the riches in the world to marry him. But now, with their financial fallout, Dorit is starting to see the light that she won’t be getting her rags-to-riches dream after all. The Kemsleys seem to be living on borrowed credit and borrowed time with their love.

PK Didn’t Support Dorit’s PTSD

Dorit had one hell of a year after dealing with armed intruders in her family home. She shared with viewers that she pleaded for her life and helped the robbers take all her valuable items. PK was away in London during the time of the break-in and never seemed to understand just what his wife experienced fully. Personally, I wouldn’t be trying to validate my feelings to a husband who wasn’t willing to understand the emotional distress I had just been through.

During the new season, Dorit explains to her co-stars how hard the PTSD has been, especially after she lost $10K from her handbag. Dorit has stated that she has “always been the girl that soldiers on. That’s who I am. That’s who PK knows.” And it was a year that I needed him the most. I didn’t feel supported enough, and I didn’t feel as connected.”

PK Isn’t a Doer

Seeing a husband not pull his weight when it comes to the Real Housewives franchise isn’t too unbelievable. However, Dorit has made it perfectly clear she is not hired help and needs her husband to step up. During the premiere episode, Dorit noted in a confessional, “I need help from PK with the kids, with the house, with work, schedules. I need him to step up and say, ‘I’m gonna take care of this. That’s not his personality, so I’m gonna have to work on him being able to help me — which is gonna take more out of me. And I’m not sure I’ll ever get there.”

You could tell Dorit was emotionally exhausted from being the workhorse and is at her wit’s end when it comes to a lazy husband. This is a huge red flag since it shows Dorit that she is capable of doing everything on her own. What does she need PK for, then? I’d be shaking in my boots, PK.

PK Has Been Spotted With a New Woman

There have been rumors that the couple are currently living separate lives, which doesn’t bode well for their marriage. Recently, PK was spotted with a new woman, and the drama even had Sutton Stracke talking about it in the season premiere. Sutton revealed, “The only thing that I’ve ever heard about PK and Dorit was the night PK got pulled over for a DUI; he may have or may not have had a woman in the car with him.” PK has also been spotted not wearing his wedding ring and living in a hotel. Clearly, the red flags are waving!
