AUSTIN – A good song can transcend any genre.

Take Joe Ely’s “For Your Love,” for example.

Released originally by Ely on his "Dig All Night" (1988), the song was a hit for Cowboy/Country artist Chris Ledoux (1993) and more recently by Bluegrass Star Michael Cleveland with Billy Strings and Jeff White. That version was just nominated in the “Collaborative Recording of the Year” category by the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards.
