Rebel Wilson says she was invited to a party with drugs and orgies by a British royal

“Needless to say, I hike up my damsel dress and run out of there as fast as I can.”
Rebel Wilson is reflecting on the time she once accepted a royal invitation to a very unexpected kind of party.
In her memoir Rebel Rising, which hit bookshelves earlier this month, the Pitch Perfect star recalls an experience in which she was invited by an unnamed, distant member of the British royal family to a party that had drugs and alleged orgies in 2014.
“I got thrown a last-minute invite to a tech billionaire’s party,” Wilson writes, per an excerpt obtained by PEOPLE. “The guy who invited me, who’s like fifteenth or twentieth in line to the British throne, had said to my male friend, ‘We need more girls.'”

Rebel WilsonSo, the actress dressed up for the event’s medieval theme as a “buxom damsel outfit complete with cone hat” and traveled all the way to an undisclosed ranch just outside of Los Angeles to join in on the festivities. “The party was insane. Men were jousting on horses in a field, girls dressed as mermaids were in the pool…,” she recalls. “The property was massive, and because it was quite a drive, people had been assigned rooms to sleep there overnight.”
She noted that she also saw the royal "flounder around" during the evening too, before taking in a “huge private fireworks display” on the property. She writes, “And then all of a sudden it’s 2 a.m. and a guy comes out with a large tray piled with what looks like a ton of candy.”
Initially excited, Wilson asked about the treats, only to be notified that they were actually “Molly,” a psychoactive drug also known as MDMA or Ecstasy. “I turned to the screenwriter I’ve been talking with, confused,” she remembers. “He says, ‘Oh, it’s for the orgy… the orgies normally start at these things about this time.’”
Suddenly, everything clicked in Wilson’s brain. “Now the comment by the Windsor about needing more girls started to make a lot more sense,” she writes. “They weren’t talking about a boy-girl ratio like it was a year-eight disco. They were talking about an ORGY!”
After figuring out what was going on, Wilson quickly made her escape, writing, “Needless to say, I hike up my damsel dress and run out of there as fast as I can.”
The experience is one of many anecdotes that Wilson shares in her new memoir, including how she waited until she was 35 to have sex and that she was paid only $3,500 for starring in the 2011 classic, Bridesmaids.
