The biggest mystery on the internet at the moment is who yelled at Rebecca Ferguson.

The Swedish actress, 40, best known for the “Mission: Impossible” movies, “The Greatest Showman” and the “Dune” franchise, recently recounted a heated exchange she had with a co-star during an appearance on the “Reign With Josh Smith” podcast Tuesday.

“I did a film with an absolute idiot of a co-star and it doesn’t matter who it was. I’m going to try and not give this away,” she said.

“I remember there was a moment when this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out,” Ferguson shared. “And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at.

“But because this person was No. 1 on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.”

“This person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say, ‘You call yourself an actor?’ ‘This is what I have to work with?’ and ‘What the f–k is this?’ in front of the whole crew. I stood there just breaking,” she added.

The actress said that no one spoke up to defend her on set, which prompted her to stand up for herself.

“You get off my set. I’m gonna work [with] a tennis ball. I never wanna see you again,” Ferguson told the unnamed actor.

“I remember being so scared,” she said. “I looked at this person and I said, ‘You can f–k off.’”

Ferguson added that this happened “within my last 10 or 12 years.”

This has sent the internet in a tizzy, trying to pinpoint who it was. Her famous co-stars have included Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Tom Cruise, Chris Hemsworth, Ewan McGregor, Emily Blunt, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hugh Grant and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Tom Cruise

Cruise, 61, was Ferguson’s A-list co-star in 2015’s “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation,” 2018’s “Mission: Impossible — Fallout” and 2023’s “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One.”

Many fans are speculating that he’s the one who made Ferguson cry.

“I genuinely suspect it was Tom Cruise,” one internet detective posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Another remarked, “My guess is that the actor she is talking about is Tom Cruise and this explains why her character was killed off in the last Mission Impossible movie. Their loss. She was one of the best parts of the franchise.”

However, in her interview, Ferguson clarified that it was not her “The Greatest Showman” or “Mission: Impossible” co-stars, Hugh Jackman or Cruise, respectively.

Michael Fassbender

Fassbender, 46, starred in the infamous 2017 movie “The Snowman” alongside Ferguson. Many fans are speculating that he’s the one.

“It’s Michael Fassbender yall,” one fan declared.

“This was definitely Fassbender,” another echoed.

However, he did have some defenders.

“To everyone saying Fassbender, Ferguson did plenty of publicity interviews with him and they seemed to get along really well. No way it’s him,” another internet sleuth said.

Emily Blunt

Blunt, 41, starred with Ferguson in the 2016 thriller “The Girl on the Train.”

“Why is everyone assuming it’s a dude?” one fan pointed out, remarking on how Ferguson could have been talking about a female co-star.

“It was emily blunt on the girl on the train, I remenber that day,” one person commented.

Another fan defended Blunt. “Logged into accusations that emily blunt was rebecca ferguson’s bully meanwhile rebecca was in interviews calling emily her lesbian lady lover.”

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

Johnson, 51, starred in the 2014 movie “Hercules” with Ferguson. He took to X to weigh in.

“Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bulls–t. Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this,” he posted.

However, many fans speculated that he was just saying that to throw the scent off of himself.

“He’s also stylishly trying to clear his name,” one fan said.

“It’s the Rock. All her other first bill costars have been on the red carpet and interview pics. None of her and the rock,” one fan commented.

One fan defended Johnson, pointing the finger at Hugh Grant instead.

“It’s probably Grant. One of the biggest reasons The Rock quit Fast and Furious was because of how toxic the set was with Vin Diesel so I doubt he’s going to scream at someone.”

Ewan McGregor

Ferguson was in 2019’s “Doctor Sleep” with McGregor, 52.

“Please don’t let it be Ewan McGregor,” one fan wrote.

Another person said: “I’m gonna say it could be Ewan McGregor in Doctor Sleep — worked on a film with him and he has a huge ego. Plus she had a ton of screen time to the point where she could say ‘get off MY set.’”

Hugh Grant

Ferguson was in the 2016 movie “Florence Foster Jenkins” with Grant, 63. The largest number of social media sleuths pointed fingers at the “Notting Hill” star.

“I looked into it a little … consensus on Reddit is that it was Hugh Grant in Florence Foster Jenkins. The scolding words sounded feminine and insecure, but so is Hugh Grant. Multiple reports from female co-stars that Hugh can be horrible to work with,” one keyboard detective declared.

“I’ll bet it was Hugh Grant, I’ve read stuff about him being really rude and hard to work with. He’s even said himself that his female costars probably hate him,” one fan wrote.

Another agreed. “It’s Grant … he’s known to be an jerk on set. The Rock seems to be beloved by everyone in the industry from what i’ve read and a super nice person. Grant was the top billed male in Florence …”

Another fan said, “100% Hugh grant. The only one she doesn’t have pics with is the rock but he just tweeted it wasn’t him. She has multiple pics with fassbender and jake gyllenhall (red carpet + press). She has only like 2 pics with hugh grant where she stands as far away as possible. I cracked it.”

Not many people thought it was Chris Hemsworth or Jake Gyllenhaal, but they’re both also contenders, having been in movies with Ferguson. Hemsworth, 40, was in 2019’s “Men in Black: International” with Ferguson, while Gyllenhaal, 43, was in 2017’s “Life” with her.
