Barrett Doss stars as Victoria Hughes on 'Station 19'

The Station 19 100th episode was one for the ages, but now the firefighters are taking a break. There is no new episode of Station 19 tonight, April 18. Airing in its place is the third episode of 9-1-1's three-part cruise ship saga. The show will not return with new episodes until Thursday, May 2.

All of the TGIT line-up is on hiatus in order to catch up with filming after rushing back to production after the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Taking this break will allow all of the shows to have a smoother run with fewer interruptions heading into their finale episodes later in the spring.

According to co-showrunner Peter Paige, the first priority when the show returns will be trying to save Vic's (Barrett Doss) job. The official description for the May 2 episode backs him up.

"With both Vic’s job and Crisis One in jeopardy, a flashback shows how the program has changed the lives of the team and the local community. Meanwhile, Ben keeps a secret from Bailey," reads the ABC logline.

Vic has been emotionally suppressing a lot since her breakup with Theo (Carlos Miranda), but the announcement that Seattle would be shutting down Crisis One pushed her over the edge in the 100th episode. She exploded in front of news cameras and called out the mayor in front of the press for shutting down the program that Dean (Okierete Onoadowan) wanted to be his legacy.

Ben (Jason George) keeping a secret from Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is also not good news. He's been downplaying a serious back injury that has been affecting him out in the field. At the end of the last episode, we saw him injecting himself with a painkiller medication. Bailey is already a nervous wreck about Ben getting hurt on the job, but she's going to absolutely lose it when she inevitably finds out he's been keeping something like this from her. Is Ben due for yet another career change?

In happier news, when the show returns Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe) and Tash (Merle Dandridge) can jump into wedding planning after their recent engagement. Maya (Danielle Savre) and Carina (Stefania Spampinato) will continue their journey of building their family, now with Carina carrying one of Maya's fertilized eggs. We need some good vibes to balance out all of the other drama going on the show.

If you want to use the break to catch up on Station 19 or rewatch your favorite episodes, they are now streaming on Hulu.
