The Bravo hit returns for an eighth go-around on Nov. 5

The Real Housewives of Potomac returns to Bravo on Nov. 5 for its eighth season, and PEOPLE has the exclusive First Look at the trailer teasing what's to come.

It's a creative clip that casts the hit reality show as '90s sitcom called Potomac Proper.

"We are all black women and we are all going through our different things in our live and we’re going to embrace that," says Ashley Darby in a toast alongside her castmates. "We’re going to keep Potomac weird, OK?"

Darby, Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Robyn Dixon, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Wendy Osefo and Mia Thornton are all back for season 8.

They'll be joined by new Housewife Nneka Ihim, a successful lawyer and first-generation Nigerian-American from a well-to-do family who is recently married to a surgeon and has recently moved into a grand new house in the heart of Potomac.

"Thanks for buying me a $2 million house," she tells he husband in the trailer, boasting, "My daddy's a rich bitch, and he made sure his daughter's a rich bitch too!"

Her presence on the cast has Gizelle crowning her as "the new Grand Dame" — something long-reigning "Grand Dame" Karen isn't taking. "If only it were that simple," she says with a laugh.

RHOP OG Charrisse Jackson Jordan — who was a Housewife on the show's first two seasons — is also returning to the mix again, once again as a Friend of the show. There's also new friend Keiarna Stewart.

All have their share of playful fun and, of course, dramatic moments in the trailer.

Karen and Mia aren't gelling, with Mia calling Karen an "old dog who needs to find some new tricks" — to which Karen retorts, "You are the trick."

Wendy and Nneka also face off after Nneka claims Wendy's mom did "voodoo" on her. "My mom worships our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ," Wendy says, and Nneka responds, "At day. By night, she's submitting names to shrines."

When a fire breaks out moments later, Candiace doesn't miss a beat, joking: "This is the demons coming to get us."

If that weren't enough, Candiace's ongoing lawsuit with Ashley's estranged husband Michael Darby puts the two women at odds.

"Kiss my f---ing ass," Candiace yells at Ashley. "Walk away so I can see it," the mother of two shoots back.

"You don't f---ing own me to put me out of this group!" Candiace say, to which Ashley responds, "That's so immature."

Meanwhile, Robyn is also feeling the fallout of her revelation that husband Juan Dixon had been direct messaging with another woman before their wedding — a story that she only surfaced after the cameras wrapped last season. Even her closest friend Gizelle seems to be calling her out.

"I'm turning into a f---ing villain," a tearful Robyn says, after seemingly being confronted by her the other women. "I didn't do nothing to y'all!"

"People always got something to say," Juan tells Robyn at another point, slamming his hand down on the table as he proclaims, "I don't care!"

There are also plenty of personal revelations, like Mia confessing she "might" have married husband Gordon for his money, and had in the past "retained a divorce attorney" during a difficult moment in their marriage.

Here are Bravo's official descriptions of what's to come for each Housewife:

Gizelle Bryant is in a situation-ship with Jason Cameron from Bravo’s Winter House, who is 16 years her junior, and the west wing has never been more alive. He’s a fun distraction as she prepares for her first-born, Grace, to head to college. Although Gizelle is in a good place with Karen, she and Robyn are experiencing a different facet of their friendship as Gizelle is no-holds-barred about expressing her feelings toward Juan’s actions.

Amidst the Juan cheating rumors, Robyn Dixon has decided to remain by his side … and everyone has something to say about it. While her friend group supports her, they wonder if she’s truly happy or if she’s just making excuses for her partner.

It’s the “triple twenty” milestone, aka age 60, for Karen Huger, who is entering this era in stride but a health scare causes her to make some changes with her lifestyle. As she continues to build on the legacy of her family in Surry County, she has decided to restore the home that once belonged to her grandmother into a guest house/lodge. Karen and Gizelle have called a truce and for the time being are closer than ever, but Karen resents Mia for spreading rumors and Robyn for not being upfront with the group.

Candiace Dillard-Bassett is extremely busy touring her Deep Space Deluxe album in multiple cities, but bankrolling the cost is taking its toll on her and Chris, and she needs to figure out her next move. Already stressed out, she becomes even more anxious due to a recent health discovery. Within the group, relationships are strained as Candiace is going through her usual on again-off again with Ashley, not speaking with Gizelle and going through a rough patch with Robyn.

Ashley Darby has settled into her new home with sons Dean and Dylan, but whether she’s getting a divorce still remains a hot topic among the women. As she contemplates the life of a single mother and the financial challenges that lie ahead, she questions how she will support her family.

Wendy Osefo is taking on another endeavor and this time it will combine her interests in politics, mental health and good gossip. The group dynamic presents a challenge as she’s not in a good place with Gizelle and Robyn, and the arrival of new Housewife Nneka rubs her the wrong way.
