'Ready Player One' trailer drops more Easter eggs from the OASIS — did you catch them all?

A new Ready Player One trailer has landed, revealing more of the adventures that await in the virtual world of the OASIS. The Steven Spielberg-helmed film is set in a dystopian near-future where most residents spend their time in a virtual-reality world created by a brilliant, ’80s-obsessed programmer. When the inventor of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind clues to a quest with the ultimate prize: complete control of his virtual world. With corporations and individuals alike competing in the nostalgia-focused contest, an unlikely frontrunner emerges in a teenager named Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan). The latest trailer gives us a first look at Lena Waithe as Wade’s pal Aech and highlights some of the film, TV, and video-game throwbacks that will be scattered throughout the OASIS. Watch the trailer above and keep reading for Easter eggs.

The song, of course, is “Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The technicolor entry to the OASIS, shown below, is reminiscent of that film’s eerie tunnel scene.

Look closely behind the mysterious animal in the shot below and you’ll see three familiar Sanrio characters: Hello Kitty, Keroppi, and Badtz-Maru.

Here’s the Iron Giant, from the 1999 animated film of the same name.

It’s hard to see the details in this battle sequence, but a shot from the previous trailer confirmed that it was a virtual recreation of the 1982 arcade game Joust, featuring scorpions and warrior ostriches.

Multiple shots of cars speeding through New York City show that the location (or at least a virtual version of it) will feature prominently. Shown here is the Statue of Liberty.

Here’s a Jurassic Park-looking T-Rex chasing a truck through Chinatown.

We see King Kong, with the Empire State Building in the background.

As Waithe steers her van on a collision course, she announces that she’s “practicing my Mario Kart.”

Wade’s avatar is driving the DeLorean from Back to the Future.

It’s hard to be sure, but that robot to the left looks a lot like the Power Loader robot suit used by Ripley to fight the Xenomorph queen in Aliens.

And these avatars look like the Spartans from the game Halo.

Ready Player One will hit theaters March 29.
