Reading and Leeds 2022: Line-up and how to watch live

Thousands of music fans are preparing to descend upon Reading and Leeds Festivals as the bank holiday weekend begins.

Arctic Monkeys, The 1975 and Dave are among the six acts headlining the twin festivals in Berkshire and Yorkshire.

Here is everything you need to know about Reading and Leeds 2022.

Reading and Leeds line-up and schedule

Reading and Leeds Festivals share the same line-up, which features acts from the worlds of rock, pop, grime, hip-hop and electronic music.

The festivals' schedule rotates across both sites – Reading's Richfield Avenue and Leeds' Bramham Park – over the three-day event.

This year's bill includes Wolf Alice, Fontaines DC, Bastille and Little Simz, plus the following six headliners across two main stages:

Arctic Monkeys (Main Stage East)

  • Reading: Saturday, 9:50pm-11:20pm

  • Leeds: Sunday, 9:20pm-10:50pm

Bring Me the Horizon (Main Stage West)

  • Reading: Saturday, 8:25pm-9:45pm

  • Leeds: Sunday, 7:50pm-9:10pm

Dave (Main Stage East)

  • Reading: Friday, 10pm-11:20pm

  • Leeds: Saturday, 9:30pm-10:50pm

Halsey (Main Stage West)

  • Reading: Sunday, 8:25pm-9:45pm

  • Leeds: Friday, 7:50pm start time

Megan Thee Stallion (Main Stage West)

  • Reading: Friday, 8:55pm-9:55pm

  • Leeds: Saturday, 8:20pm-9:20pm

The 1975 (Main Stage East)

  • Leeds: Friday, 9:20pm-10:50pm

  • Reading: Sunday, 9:50pm-11:20pm

Which acts have dropped out?

Rage Against the Machine were due to headline the festivals but pulled out over a medical issue involving their frontman.

The US rock band cancelled their European tour earlier this month after Zack de la Rocha was told by doctors he should not perform.

They were replaced by The 1975, prompting a backlash from some fans who demanded refunds.

Two other acts – Jack Harlow and Maneskin – withdrew from the line-up in order to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Charli XCX and AJ Tracey have been confirmed to replace them.

How to watch Reading and Leeds 2022 on TV

Tickets for Reading and Leeds 2022 have sold out, but can still follow the action live on the BBC.

BBC iPlayer will be live-streaming sets from both main stages from 2:30pm on Friday, 2pm on Saturday and 1:20pm on Sunday.

BBC One will broadcast Dave's set at 11:45pm on Saturday, followed by Arctic Monkeys' performance at 11:30pm on Sunday.

Radio listeners can tune into Radio 1 and BBC Sounds across the weekend for further live coverage.
