Instagram comments to Kelly's Ripa's New Year's Eve update are likely to make anyone smile. The "Live With Kelly and Ryan!" host rung in the new year in a slightly unusual way – Kelly kicked off 2020 in a bejeweled turban.
The photo showed Kelly smiling for the camera with husband Mark Consuelos. 49-year-old Kelly was wearing a glittery black outift, but this photo was all about the headwear: one sparkly and jewel-encrusted turban and a full admission that it was a first for the talk show host.
"25 #newyear eves with @instasuelos but this is the first one wearing a turban ♥️ 💥🎉💫🎊," Kelly captioned her snap."
That Nick Cannon Comment (And The Rest)
Kelly's Instagram followers have been commenting. Many of the blonde's fans simply wished her a Happy New Year, but for the most part, the turban was mentioned.
"You're beautiful even if you wore a brown paper bag over your head! Happy New Year!" one fan wrote.
"Did you get that from Nick Cannon?" a user asked, clearly in reference to the rapper and host's love of turban headwear.
"Channeling Cher?" one fan asked.
"Befitting proper royalty!!" was another comment.
Kelly was even asked if this is the "2020 look."
One fan seemed less sure – "Oh but WHY," they wrote.
Celeb Likes And A Reminder That She's Been With That Dude 25 Years
Celebrity likes did come in. Of course, Kelly's husband Mark left a like, with pregnant actress Jenna Dewan and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" Lisa Rinna also leaving a like.
For many fans, the captioned reminder that this is the 25th New Year's that Kelly has celebrated with Mark was poignant.
Yep. This girl trumps most Hollywood marriages, having met Mark on the set of "All My Children" back in the 1990s. Kelly and Mark have been married since 1996 and are parents to three children.
She FaceTimes With Him At Crazy Hours Of The Night
"Riverdale" is shot out in Vancouver, Canada. Earlier this year, Kelly told The Cut that she's up at all hours to get call time in with her husband.
"We definitely text a lot because usually one of us is on set and I’m three hours ahead of him, time-wise. On "Riverdale," they shoot at night a lot," she said.
" He’s usually working at 2, 3, 4 in the morning. Sometimes it’s great for me because I’m up and on my way to work and sometimes it’s in the middle of the night. When we have the time, we FaceTime, and it’s great to see him," Kelly added.
'He Looks Much Better On FaceTime Than I Do'
Most people would agree that Kelly looks pretty fricking sensational for her age. The star put the credit on her husband, though.
"He looks much better on FaceTime than I do and have photographic evidence of this. I like to screengrab us and show him how handsome he looks versus what a troll I look like in the corner," she said.
As to this couple's kids, they've now got a bit of a celeb status – in particular, daughter Lola Grace.
