RDS In Canada Won’t Broadcast AEW In 2023 Due To Budget Constraints

RDS in Canada will no longer air AEW Dynamite.

In a post on the La Lutte à RDS Facebook page, the station announced that the December 28 episode of Dynamite would be the last one it would be able to broadcast due to budget constraints.

The post, translated to English, is as follows:

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for joining us tonight and the past few weeks.

Sadly, Dynamite tonight was our last broadcast of AEW in French on RDS.

Due to budget constraints, we unfortunately won’t be back in 2023.

Thanks again to everyone who has joined our fall dates, see you next time… let’s hope so.

AEW and RDS previously announced their deal in August. RDS had been airing a French broadcast of the show, typically on its website or on the RDS Info channel. Moving forward, Dynamite will continue to air on Wednesday nights (in English) on TSN 2.
